Tomeeker "Tee" Gary is from a rural county in Southern Virginia. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University and was immediately hired at a local Veteran Affairs hospital where she demonstrated outstanding skill and competence. Tomeeker treated clients with spinal cord injuries, dementia, strokes, Parkinson's disease, amputations, chronic diseases, and many others. She treated clients in various settings like inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and home-based care. Her passion is working with older adults to help them stay as safe and independent in their homes for as long as possible. Functional Transformations, LLC was born in 2021 after Tomeeker decided that in-home care and custom home modifications was where she was destined to be. Tomeeker is a Certified Aging in Place (CAPS) specialist and a recipient of the prestigious Executive Certificate for Home Modifications (ECHM). She is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist (CSRS).

Tomeeker lives with her husband, daughter, and dog, Milton in a different rural county in Virginia. She enjoys spending time with her family, acting as a beginner aquarist, cooking in her Ninja Foodi, and playing Candy Crush!
